Chris Smith
Owner & Director of Construction
Chris has nearly three decades of residential construction experience and applies a thoughtful sense of stewardship to every project. Construction is where his curiosity, leadership, and sense of purpose align. He founded Elysian in 2011, grounded in integrity and a lifelong respect for craftsmanship.
Chris is passionate about building science and is a PHIUS certified builder. His thorough understanding of building systems, mechanicals, and the many trades involved in a home allows him to oversee your project with clarity and attention to detail.
Chris values the people behind the work as much as the work itself. He leads with quiet strength and conviction and brings a steady hand and a thoughtful approach to building your home.
When he is not creating Gantt chart schedules, Chris is most likely teaching his daughter how to garden or tackling another home project with his wife, Kerianne. And, on occasion, he may even pause long enough to enjoy a good cup of coffee.
Elizabeth Florence
Director of Business Operations
On a daily basis, Elizabeth oversees many of the company’s internal operations, from employee support and company systems to strategic initiatives. Her steady leadership and intuitive sense for efficiency make her an essential force behind Elysian's operations.
Elizabeth is a driven and detail-oriented professional who brings order and keeps the team moving forward. With a degree in Interior Design, she blends her love for the building industry with a sharp business mind to guide Elysian’s internal operations.
Nicole Fisher
Accounting Manager
Nicole’s day-to-day responsibilities include the careful and ethical oversight of your project finances, tracking costs, maintaining clear records, and helping ensure resources are used efficiently and in alignment with your project’s goals. Known for her reliability and attention to detail, Nicole plays an important role in supporting the smooth operation of the business.
With a degree in accounting, Nicole brings organization, clarity, and structure to the financial side of the business and each individual project. Her work ensures that accounts remain accurate, transparent, and well managed.
Jacob Cuzzupe
Assistant Project Manager
Jake brings a strong field background and a practical, organized approach to his role as Assistant Project Manager. Having worked his way up through construction, leading crews and coordinating job sites—he understands what it takes to keep projects moving efficiently.
He’s known for his attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to keep multiple moving parts on track. Jake is highly efficient with technology and utilizes it to keep your project running smoothly, while also maintaining clear, professional communication throughout the process.
Reliable, easy to work with, and solutions-focused, Jake plays a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality homes at Elysian Build.
Kerianne Smith
Project and Operations Coordinator
Kerianne brings over 15 years of experience in custom residential construction to Elysian. She works closely with Chris and the Elysian team to support procurement and operational processes behind the scenes.
Although Kerianne is a professionally trained interior designer and the founder of K. Interiors, her role at Elysian is focused on project and operations coordination rather than design.
Her background gives her a strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and the design process. Kerianne especially enjoys supporting projects designed by architects and interior designers, helping carry their vision forward by keeping selections, lead times, and procurement organized throughout construction.
When Kerianne isn’t thinking about the next steps to keep a project on track, she is usually planning a trip to Trader Joe's or dreaming up another home project with her husband, Chris—yes, the same Chris you just read about, who is probably out on the back deck enjoying a cup of coffee.
